03: Connect your own assistant
An MCP server comes with every VPS
Every Rackmill VPS comes with an MCP server. Connect Claude or any MCP client with a personal access token, and the token's scopes decide what it may do. Tokens can carry an expiry date, and you can revoke or roll one at any time.
Ask which server used the most CPU this week, or which backups exist for one of them. The assistant reads the answers from your own account.

Write tools work only when your token carries the matching write scope, and each one asks your assistant to confirm with you before it acts.
04: Manage it yourself
Security scanning, billing, images and cancellation, without needing a support ticket
Security scanning, included
Security scanning is included with every VPS at no extra charge. Run a scan against a server, read the findings grouped by rule, watch your security score over time, and add an exception where a finding does not apply to you.
Billing you can audit
Your subscription holds a balance, and your servers draw on it by the hour. Read the ledger line by line, export it as CSV, and see each resource's hourly rate. A projection shows where the balance will land at the end of the billing cycle, so you know ahead of time if credit would run out.
Cancellation without needing a support ticket
Schedule your own cancellation for the end of the billing cycle, and withdraw it yourself if you change your mind.
Your own image
Upload an operating system image and deploy servers from it. Uploaded images count toward a storage quota and have a retention period you can extend. You can also attach an ISO to a running server.
VPN Gateway
A VPN Gateway is available from the same console, with per-user access and downloadable connection profiles.
In-console assistant
The console includes an assistant. It works through the same scoped API tokens, so it can do only what you grant, and the console reminds you to verify important actions yourself.

Software licences are not included
VPS services do not include software licences. Windows Server licences must be bought separately from Microsoft or an authorised reseller.
Datacenter IP addresses
All VPS services use static datacenter IP addresses, which streaming services detect and block. Do not buy a VPS to reach geo-restricted content.
